About the Candidate
WINDOG considers Bryanna Spina to be 'dog-unfriendly'. She did not wish to share her views on off-leash dog parks with voters.
Platform: Spina’s priorities are improving infrastructure; expanding the Active Transportation Network; preserving and maintaining green spaces, including the urban forest; recycling and composting; community development; and neighbourhood safety.
Spina wants to fix roads, repair sewers and waterworks, and find ways for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles to share roadways. She supports neighbourhood public safety programs and wants community centres, libraries and civic centres to provide more programming, while keeping taxes affordable.
Spina is the owner-operator of Prairie Roots Yoga and is an active community volunteer. She is an Earl Grey Community Centre board member and general manager of the Earl Grey community garden. She has also served as mini-soccer convener, breakfast and after-school snack program coordinator, the young mother mentoring program leader, gardening class instructor, and has directed community wellness programs for children and adults. Spina was the lead facilitator of a team that collaborated with the Louis Riel School Division to develop yoga and wellness programs for the classroom.
